About

Hello beautiful dreamers! My name is Rachel. As you probably have already figured out, I am a stay at home mother. No surprise there. I have four beautiful girls. Yes all girls! I have a great husband too. So I really can’t complain…or can I? I have lost some-well actually I have lost a lot of myself within the demands of motherhood. As this new year begins, I have made the decision to begin a life journey of self discovery. I hope you will join me. We are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, husbands and wives, but we are also so much more. As for me,  I am an artist, a writer and a dreamer.

  1. Thanks for the Follow on WordyGertie.com, I’ve really enjoyed reading through your site. I love connecting with other moms, especially stay home moms; I’ve found myself feeling the same way, that it’s easy to lose ourselves in the all-encompassing responsibility that is parenthood. I’m with you on your/our path to self-discovery!

    1. Thank you so much. I am so happy to have you here. Having the support of others means everything to me. It has proven to be an uphill battle so far. I’m digging really deep, hoping to learn everything I can about myself.

      1. Yes better tell him! My dad too went for that boy. Back in those days you never knew the gender till they came home. I remember asking is it a boy or girl? Another girl? Oh gosh. It was so much fun!

  2. I am a homeschooling mom of six, and I know just what you mean about that journey of self-discovery. It takes longer for some of us: about three decades for me, so I’d say that you’re doing great.

    1. Thank you so much Cheryl. Wow, 6 kids! You must certainly be a pro by now. And you homeschooled all of them? What a strong woman you must be! Amazing. I can’t wait to follow your blog! Thanks so much for reading. I just started this journey in January, but I have already learned so many things about myself.Maybe I knew them all along, I just never took the time to acknowledge them. It is like I am taking the time now to rediscover myself.

  3. I love this! I had my first baby 8.5 months ago and even though I just have one, I can totally relate. Life gets crazy and busy and overwhelming with kids and you kind of go under. I guess after a while you forget who you really are as a person. Thanks for sharing this great reminder. Just found your blog and like it already. I’m new to this whole mommy blogging thing and would love your input!

  4. Hi! First of all, thank you for following my blog so I could know your blog was out there, and follow you, too. 🙂 My two daughters are now 23 and 20 (Seriously, don’t blink! It goes by waaay too fast!) My 23 year old just got married last September. I also home schooled both of my children. A challenging job, but it was also a lot of fun. Stay at home Moms do have to be careful not to lose themselves, however, also know that motherhood is also, truly, just another facet of ourselves that we didn’t know we had until our babies came along, so………….in a sense, in my opinion, anyway, you ARE learning about yourself and finding a new part of yourself. 🙂 I’ve not been able to “travel” your blog page much yet, but it I think you have a fun page here. Thank you for following me! You will find I tend to be a “bit” eclectic. 🙂 I look forward to reading more of your blog posts.

  5. Thanks for following my blog. I’m trying to write as well. I took a year hiatus but I missed putting my thoughts into words and stories. I look forward to reading more of your posts. Life is definitely a journey full of challenges and discoveries.

  6. Always so hard to find that balance of juggling family and looking after yourself, and by the looks of it you mare doing amazing. I have 4 children myself, with the youngest at 18. They grow up so fast.
